The European cycling championship is coming to Drenthe and, naturally, visiting Emmen! Various municipalities, authorities and clubs make it possible to make this year an unforgettable cycling spectacle! And did you think ‘Gouden Pijl’ was a big cycling race? Then you haven’t seen this yet!
The cyclists will, like every year, compete for a white-blue jersey with golden stars. That is promising, right?! On Wednesday September 20, the racers will start with individual time trials from Wildlands, so this is the perfect opportunity to shout your favorite cyclist to victory in a unique setting.
A day later, on Thursday 21 September, the unique Mixed Team Relay will be held in Emmen. A what?! A Mixed Team Relay! This is a unique variation on the team time trial in which national teams with men and women compete together for the European title.
